We work with school professionals including teachers and headteachers, special educators, school psychologists, speech and occupational therapists, and educational stakeholders and policy makers in order to transform classrooms to trauma sensitive places and help professionals support children with trauma. We discuss specific cases and support with specific strategies, approaches and material.
For teachers and school professionals. We conduct a needs assessment with schools first in order to provide tailor-made professional development services for teachers and other school professionals, drawing from the most recent evidence based policies and strategies on adversity and trauma informed education. We have a wealth of material and the ability to create new material to serve the needs of each school.
Support to families with a history of adversity and trauma, both independently or collaboratively with schools. We work with families who need support with understanding trauma and responding appropriately to it. Importantly, we do advocacy in schools for children who do not get the support they need.
We have a network of international collaborators, constantly expanding, working on identifying evidence based and innovative whole school trauma informed approaches and policies. Emphasis is on trauma reducing practices and on teachers training.
